This Chow or Chow mix puppy was found roaming around St. Mary's
University in San Antonio Texas. It is about 5-6 months old. If you recognize this puppy, please call 789-3143. Update 9-4-07. The owner has not been found so this puppy is up for adoption. Please call if you would like to adopt. He is a high energy puppy and needs a yard to roam in. Is potty trained and walks well on leash.

Severe Summer Rains in Texas
Video footage on June 28th 2007 of the normally dry creek beds around Northwest San Antonio, which turned into raging rivers in a matter of about 2 hours. Over 70 roads around the city were closed due to high water. Because of poor drainage this wreaks havoc around the city.

Part 3. Carlos Arredondo's son, LCPL Alexander S. Arredondo, died in Iraq on August 25, 2004. He was twenty years old. Carlos Arredondo made headline news when he set the Marine van and himself on fire from the grief he experienced. Is Public Access Under Fire by AT&T U-Verse?

A threatening item is on the Agenda for the San Antonio City Council meeting on April 5, 2007. Below is a copy of the agenda item. Of note is the part of Alternatives. This request for action basically states that if the AT&T U-Verse test fails, that AT&T should not be required to carry the Public Access, Governmental, or Educational channels (PEG for short), And THAT THE OTHER CABLE COMPANIES SHOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO AS WELL, which would kill public access. | SUMMARY: This ordinance authorizes an agreement with AT&T Texas to conduct first office application "FOA" for the purposes of AT&T to carry the City's Public, Education and Government (PEG) programming on its U-Verse TV Service. | ||||||||
| BACKGROUND INFORMATION: AT&T and the City of carriage of the City's three PEG channels. The Texas Utilities Code requires that the City provide PEG programming in a format compatible with the provider's technology and that the provider carry the channels after the City has made that request. This agreement is to test signal compatibility. The City has identified one point of demarcation for all three PEG channels for AT&T. Each party will be responsible for its side of the demarcation point. The City will install transmission equipment to transmit PEG content. AT&T will install and test encoders to capture the City's PEG programming. Upon termination of this agreement, the City is entitled to the equipment installed by AT&T for the City's PEG channels.

| ISSUE: In the Summer of 2006, AT&T Texas began testing the delivery of IPTV. The City has the right to request that its community (PEG) channels be carried on its system. Testing is required because the deliverly of service is different than that of our current cable operators. San Antonio Election 2007 District 8 Candidates Forum Part 1
San Antonio City Council Election Forum held March 26, 2007 for District 8 City Council Seat. Candidates answered questions from the community concerning various issues such as how to protect the Edwards Aquifer (the only fresh water source for San Antonio), the $500 million bond proposal, and how to protect San Antonio trees (many land developers ignore the tree ordinance to protect trees and clear the land completely).
